Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS) is an autosomal recessive (AR) disorder characterized by a defective GP1b platelet receptor leading to a problematic platelet adhesion process (primary hemostasis). Ristocetin Cofactor Assay (RIPA) is usually abnormal in cases of Bernard-Soulier Syndrome (BSS).
