The Best CLASSICAL Piece of Each Year (1921-2025)

Despite being the most difficult to produce, this may strike some people as the most ridiculous of these lists so far. "Classical" is an individual ARTFORM, consisting of not only its own genres but its own mediums. In this video, I have recklessly lumped together chamber music, symphonies, opera, oratorio, requia, works from the avant-garde, electronic music, and what some will inevitably consider pop. Because of that, this is the video that so far least resembles a coherent canon, yet I also find it tells the most complete story, even with John Cage missing. I would have liked to start this video with 1909 and Mahler's 9th Symphony, the beginning of Modern Classical as I would have it, but I did not have any gratifying selection for certain years before 1921, and I failed to remedy this in time.
