Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form with academy status. It is located in South Manchester in the Wythenshawe area providing facilities for over 1050 students and it is one of the top 100 most improved schools in England. In order to create more space to accommodate the city's growing number of pupils the Durie Building, a new teaching block, was built by Willmott Dixon on a brownfield site to accommodate 500 more pupils, an increase of 40%. Using expertise working in live environments the new 3,834m2 teaching facility was created while the existing school remained in operation!
