ROADTRIP BY SCOOTER through INDONESIA – DAY 24 – Ferry crossing from LABUAN BAJO, FLORES island to SAPE, SUMBAWA island + torrential rain to BIMA This is a film in a series of films that present a roadtrip or excursion by scooter through Indonesia, more precisely through several islands east of Bali. I packed a small bag, with a few clothes and every day I explored places that I had never been to before. I had a goal, but I did not set a specific route, an itinerary. I adapted on the go and was willing to make adjustments depending on my mood, fatigue or what I found on the way. On the 24th day of the trip I took the boat, ferry or ferry from the port of Labuan Bajo (Flores island) to Sape (Sumbawa island), on the way back to Bali I woke up early to prevent logistical errors when buying the ticket. After a few moments of bureaucracy, I managed to buy my ferry ticket and retired for a coffee in a cafe in Labuan Bajo (   • PIATA TRADITIONALA in LABUAN BAJO & alte l...  ). Once I got on the boat, I took a quick tour and talking to the captains in the cabin, I understood that this ferry was a bit faster than the one I had taken from Sumbawa to Flores. The route of the ferryboat from Flores to Sumbawa, bypasses the Komodo National Park to the North (   • PLAJE exotice pe INSULA PADAR & VARANII de...  ). Until we approached the island of Sumbawa, the weather was very good. From a distance, clouds with curtains of rain could be seen, above the island of Sumbawa and the port of Sape. It was becoming increasingly clear to me that I would not be able to reach Dompu (   • INUNDATII & plantatii de PORUMB prin insul...  ), a town located more than 100km from Sape. Once off the boat, I filmed a little because it was raining heavily. I took a break in a warung where I waited for the rain to calm down, but gradually it subsided in the evening. From there I drove quite slowly towards Bima (   • INUNDATII & plantatii de PORUMB prin insul...  ) because the rain had not stopped completely. On the way, I almost skidded trying to avoid a dog that was standing in the middle of the road. I arrived at the accommodation in Bima in the dark and after looking for something to eat in the surroundings I went to sleep. The next day I was going to go to Dompu and the west of the island of Sumbawa. You will be able to follow the continuation of the trip in the following videos.
