Video No 30 Hand draulic point control Sept 2019
The room for surface point motors (that do need a lot of TLC to set up some of the time) could not be used due to a platform in the way or some 2" x 2" baseboard joist blocking the wires. As three points were close to the edge I decided on hand operated points, just like a signalman. All I used was half a mm piano wire from my local model railway shop and a tube from a recently discarded perfume bottle from my wife. If you are interested in hand point control, one of my earlier videos shows how I changed both points in a cross over with just a rod, a bar, a bolt, and several terminal blocks. Hope you enjoyed it and got something out of it. All the best.......Barry
