Into the Erie Canal... | The Great Loop on a Shanty Boat

Howdy! Fellow adventurers, in this episode of "The Great Loop on a Shanty Boat" Wavey and I start heading west along the Erie Canal. There are several "flights" of locks at the beginning in order to gain elevation away from the Hudson River. We were surprised at how quickly we were able to pass through them. They prep and fill much quicker than some other locks and dams we experienced back on the rivers. Getting to travel the Erie Canal is another important bucket list item we've been able to achieve on the great loop out here.
