Round the Island Race 2026 - the iconic annual sailing race around the Isle of Wight, UK

Saturday 11th July - "Round the Island Race".... one of the most iconic open yacht races in the world. ...'Covering the start at Cowes at 7am as the first class of yachts set off on a colourful spinnaker run to Alum Bay before rounding the Needles.... I made it to Fort Victoria, Yarmouth (the narrowest point between the Island and the mainland), Alum Bay, Compton Bay, St Catherine's Point, Ventnor and the landslip, Bonchurch, trying as best as possible to capture the spectacle on film from a variety of locations.
