How to make Acrylic Knife Handles or Scales with Micarta liners. Acrylic Material is available from a variety of sources. The blanks we used are sold as pen blank material. They are 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. I wanted to add liners between the acrylic scales and the knifes tang. Micarta is typically made by saturating paper or material with resin and then compressing in a press until the resin dries.
