One Life to Live 6/22/1990

Things heat up between Brenda and Dan at Dan’s apartment, but Dan keeps finding excuses to stall. Lucky helps Megan lure Jake to the beach house by giving him a fake telegram from the owner claiming there was damage to the place after he rented it. Carlo admits to Johnny that he had the forged confession planted in Roger’s room. He also tells his son about a man named Frank Whitehead, or Whitey, who is attempting a hostile takeover of their territory, assuming the incarcerated Carlo to be weak. Carlo tells Johnny he’s called a summit meeting with Whitehead and others at an old estate on a private isle called Badderly. He wants Johnny to deliver a message to Whitey–that it would be bad for business and his health to pursue this takeover. Carlo gives Johnny some seemingly innocuous travel brochures for Badderly which he says will be the tickets to the summit. Sarah helps Bo look at brochures to find a location for a primetime shoot for Fraternity Row, and they make plans for the trip to be like a second honeymoon for the two of them. Bo isn’t satisfied with the options the travel agent gave them and says they’ll go back and ask for something more private. Johnny prepares to send out the Badderly invitations but he’s interrupted by Tina. When Johnny leaves Tina alone to take a call, she idly doodles on the brochure with Frank Whitehead’s name on it. Coming out of her reverie, she realizes she’s ruined the pamphlet and surreptitiously shoves it in her pocket. After Tina leaves, Johnny calls Greg Ellis (Robert Sedgewick) and says they’ll need to use more forceful methods on Tina. Andy asks Matt what he plans to do when Asa finds out he has no plans to bury the Intruder, but he isn’t sure yet. Andy leaves Matt in charge of the bar so she can pay Dan a visit, hoping she still has a shot at him now that the trial is over. When Jake arrives at the beach house, Megan surprises him with dinner. He says it’s too little, too late, but when his car won’t start, he realizes she’s sabotaged his car, just like he did to her. Megan apologizes for not believing in him when he never doubted her innocence. Megan says they can still have a future together, but Jake wonders if she’ll ever trust him. He leaves, upsetting Megan. Just as Brenda and Dan are getting back into the swing of things, Andy shows up. She apologizes for throwing a pie in his face and gives him his freshly laundered and ironed shirt to make amends. She says maybe they could go to a movie or get a bite to eat, but before Dan can make an excuse, Brenda, clad only in a bathrobe, appears behind him and Andy abruptly turns and leaves. Tina tries to get a job at the Llanview Grande, hoping to continue working on the interior design vision she and Alicia developed together. The manager tells her all work is on hold until Brenda decides whether to keep or sell the hotel. As Tina tries to leave, her exit is blocked by Greg who insists he needs a moment of her time. He tells her she has until next week to pay off the $50 grand she owes by next week. Matt comforts Andy and suggests she find a new man to help her move on from Doctor Dan. Carlo tells Johnny to marry Tina. Johnny is resistant, but Carlo asks his son to trust him and vows that he has big plans for Johnny and Tina. After her confrontation with Greg, Tina accidentally drops the brochure for Badderly. Sarah finds it and thinks they’ve found the perfect location for both their getaway and the Fraternity Row location shoot.
