Sometimes we think new beginnings only happen with the sunrise, but I believe there is something just as powerful about a sunset. In today's mixed media art journal spread, I created a colorful mountain landscape with the quote: "The Sunset That Taught Me To Begin Again." At first, I accidentally used the word sunset instead of sunrise, but the more I reflected on it, the more I realized it wasn't a mistake at all. A sunset reminds us that every ending is preparing us for a new beginning. It gives us permission to release the disappointments, failures, and worries of today so we can wake up tomorrow with renewed hope. Sometimes God teaches us the greatest lessons in the closing of a chapter before He opens the next one. This page is a reminder that no season lasts forever. Just as the sun faithfully sets each evening and rises again each morning, God's faithfulness remains constant through every ending and every new beginning.
