Her sound is groove-driven, characterized by warm and full basslines, essential percussion, and a continuous exploration of electronic sonorities, without ever losing the influence of genres she deeply loves—funk and jazz—which emerge in harmonic details, swing, and engaging rhythmic lines. Marta Catalano brings to her sets a sound that combines the sensitivity of classical music—developed from childhood while studying piano—with the rock energy and funk groove she absorbed from her family, through artists like Duran Duran and Jamiroquai.
