Today, one of the most popular lens mounts is Sony's E-mount, which supports both APS-C and Full Frame sensors. For this reason, lens manufacturers are constantly expanding their catalogs of native lenses for this mount. Such is the case with Tamron and its new line of f/2.8 lenses. The brand has recently launched three native focal lengths for the system, all with an f/2.8 aperture. These are a 20mm, a 24mm, and a 35mm lens; the latter is the one I'll be testing this time. What's interesting about these lenses is their light weight, "compact" size, and the fact that they share a filter thread. All three lenses weigh almost the same, are exactly the same size, and stand out for their short minimum focusing distance, with this Tamron 35mm f/2.8 offering a 1:2 magnification.
