RICHARD STRAUSS: ‘Morgen/Tomorrow’ by RUDOLF SCHOCK 1957 & 1960

TEXT auf Deutsch/in het Nederlands: https://tenorschock.blogspot.com/2019... ENCORE! AGAIN! NOCH EINMAL! BIS! I complete the previous studio upload (260 views) of 'Morgen/Tomorrow' with a LIVE, sound technically moderate, but vocally fine, rare recording, which demonstrates, how enormous the effect of Schock's art at the time was ... About the STUDIO version from 1957 under Wilhelm Schüchter: The video feed is strictly personal: My own "three-generations" interpretation differs entirely from the accepted explanation of the lyrics. This explanation is: Tensions preceded the marriage of Richard Strauss and his wife Pauline. Richard then gave Pauline the song 'Morgen' as a revealing wedding gift. The earlier text of writer/poet John Henry Mackay, however, relates to another love, of whom and the nature of which little is certain. This gives me freedom for the chosen images, which in any case put 'love' at the center. Furthermore, everyone can scan for themselves, what those images have to say to her or him. About the LIVE version: Three years later - December 25, 1960 - Schock performed 'Morgen/Tomorrow' live to a big audience. The conductor is unknown, but EBBE FOEGE BAK sent me the message, that the performance was in Offenbach am Main (Germany). Ebbe, thank you very much!
