Worship & Outreach | Saint Davids Abbey Welcome to Saint Davids Abbey. Many people ask: What is the difference between worship and outreach? From the earliest days of the Church, Christians gathered for Divine Worship — praying the Psalms, singing hymns, hearing the Apostles, receiving the Holy Gospel, and gathering at the Holy Table of the Eucharist. Worship is not a performance. It is not about entertaining ourselves — it is about offering our hearts and lives to God. But when we hear the words, “Let us depart in peace,” our calling continues. God has given His people the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18). Each of us has gifts and talents to share the love of Christ with the world. Some teach. Some serve. Some encourage. Some create. Some sing.
