About Mission: Following the escape of the terrorist leader The Wolf from the U.S. Embassy, CIA operative Alex joins Farah Karim and the Urzikstan Liberation Force to ambush the terrorist's convoy along the devastated Highway of Death. Farah believes the convoy will attempt to cross the destroyed highway, making it the perfect place for a carefully planned attack. The mission begins with Alex taking up a concealed sniper position overlooking the highway while Farah coordinates resistance fighters on the ground. Using a sniper rifle, Alex eliminates enemy scouts, machine-gun crews, and vehicle-mounted forces while protecting friendly fighters. Players must compensate for bullet drop and wind during several long-range engagements, making it one of the campaign's most memorable sniper missions. As the ambush unfolds, the plan goes wrong when General Roman Barkov's Russian forces unexpectedly arrive. Instead of fighting only Al-Qatala, Farah's fighters become trapped between the terrorists and the Russian military. Heavy armor, helicopters, and infantry overwhelm the battlefield, turning the ambush into a desperate fight for survival. During the battle, Farah's brother, Hadir Karim, reveals that he stole the stolen chemical weapons earlier in the story. Believing there is no other way to stop Barkov's advancing army, Hadir releases the chemical gas across the battlefield. The gas wipes out Russian soldiers and Al-Qatala militants alike, but also endangers Farah and Alex, who narrowly escape the contaminated area. This shocking act creates a major conflict between Hadir and his allies, as he has crossed a moral line by using chemical weapons. The mission ends with the realization that Hadir is responsible for the missing chemical weapons and is willing to use them against Barkov regardless of the consequences. This revelation becomes a turning point in the campaign, setting up the next chapter of the story and forcing Price, Farah, and Alex to confront both Barkov and Hadir's dangerous actions.
