Aterrizando en pista de tierra! Vuelo entre 2 aeropuertos no controlados -Orocue a Puerto Gaitan

On this flight, we flew approximately 50 miles between Orocue, Casanare, and Puerto Gaitán, in the department of Meta, in a journey that took less than 20 minutes. The unique feature of this flight is that both airports are uncontrolled, meaning all communication and coordination depend entirely on the pilot. But the most interesting part comes when landing in Puerto Gaitán. There's no conventional runway here, but rather a 1,200-meter unpaved strip, which makes the operation even more challenging. This is the first time I've shown a landing on a dirt strip on my channel, and it's an experience worth seeing. Puerto Gaitán is a municipality located in Meta, known for its oil industry and its plains landscapes. Its landing strip, although small and dirt, is key to air connectivity in the area. Join me on this flight and discover what it's like to operate between airports without a control tower and land on an unpaved strip. Don't miss it!
