Yvonne Brandner started drinking at 13. What began as a "pre-drink" and stress relief exercise turned into an addiction: alcohol became her constant companion. She eventually needed up to three bottles of vodka a day. She lied to her family, hid the bottles, and tried to function anyway, but shame, guilt, and despair dominated her life.
