When You See Those Flying Saucers (Buchanan Brothers, 1947) Bass Cover

I've been playing my bass for a little over a year now, getting to the point where I can put on just about any old country song and gleefully pluck along to it. I was goofing around and, on a whim, thought of this cool old Buchanan Brothers song and had a blast playing "bass karaoke" with it. I wind up usually getting to play my bass for an hour a week or so. It's an Ibanez Mikro, a super short-scale bass that delivers great results for the price (it's paired with a tiny but potent-for-its-size Roland bass cube). If you're like me, strumming a standard 6-string acoustic guitar for decades and hesitant to try bass because of the big fret spaces, give this little gem a try! I only made one mistake with notes here, but I can always improve nailing those notes exactly on time. I got a little fast on a few of the shapes here, but otherwise I'm quite happy with my progress after 13 months.
