Today a customer drove in from Atlanta with tubs of what he called “vintage Star Wars.” As any toy store owner knows, that can mean anything from 90s Power of the Force to true Kenner gold. So we did what we always do: cracked it open on camera and went piece by piece to see what was actually hiding in this childhood collection. Inside we found everything from beat-up Kenner figures, sun-faded tauntauns and yellowed Wampas to Jabba the Hutt playsets, X-Wings, die-cast landspeeders, mail-away Micro Collection pieces, and even some Masters of the Universe sneaking into the Star Wars bins — Battle Bones, Buzz-Off, Tri-Klops and more. Along the way we talk real-world value vs nostalgia, how we price “beaters” for the vintage case, and why certain accessories matter more than the figure itself. We go deep on the blue/black vs “true black” Boba Fett blaster, talk about rare variants, weapon molds, broken reins and flaps, and why some of these “junk” pieces are still absolutely worth saving. By the end, we’ve added up the cardbacks, vehicles, weapons, die-cast pieces and loose figures to make a serious offer on this childhood Star Wars collection – even though a lot of it is rough, incomplete, or sun-faded. If you’ve ever wondered what your old Kenner Star Wars toys are worth today, or what a toy store actually looks for when buying collections, this video is a masterclass in how we evaluate and price it all. 👉 Would you have taken this deal or held out? Let us know in the comments how you’d price this lot and what your favorite piece in the collection is.
