I have been teaching for more than 45 years and trained thousands of teachers in that time. I'm a movement-based physiotherapist and have trained extensively as a yoga teacher, and she's been an instructor for many decades. I have developed a system that incorporates the core knowledge of yoga, chicken movement-based physiotherapy, internal martial arts, massage and dance, and I call it 5-Dimensional Flow. The Five Dimensional Flow practice is designed to encourage healthy blood circulation throughout the body while maintaining a low heart rate. By doing so, it optimally supports the immune, digestive, and reproductive systems, promoting overall vitality and well-being. This is achieved through relaxed yet intentional movement that keeps the joints lengthened without overstretching and the muscles engaged without unnecessary tension. This approach creates regions of differential pressure within the body, allowing blood to circulate efficiently without over-reliance on the heart. As a result, the parasympathetic nervous system remains dominant, activating the body's natural regenerative functions and enhancing the circulation of vital information and potency within the reproductive, digestive, and immune systems. Beyond its physiological benefits, this practice plays a crucial role in joint health, preventing atrophy through continuous, gentle movement. The subtle pressures generated within the body also contribute to increased tissue density, further supporting long-term physical well-being. Additionally, Five Dimensional Flow is a dynamic meditative practice that allows you to enter the "flow state" or "zone"—a state commonly experienced by elite athletes—without requiring intense exertion. In this state, the mind becomes one-pointed, and the practice itself feels sustainable, engaging, calming, effortless, yet deeply invigorating. In essence, this practice merges the benefits of both sleep and exercise. Unlike sleep, which does not actively move blood or mobilise joints, and conventional exercise, which often induces stress and strain (and is frequently avoided), this approach offers a balanced and accessible way to cultivate health, vitality, and inner harmony. In my in-person and online training courses, I teach both my 5 Dimensional Flow System and the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga-based System of Yoga called 'Yoga Synergy', which was developed by myself and my brilliant physiotherapist yogini co-founder Bianca Machliss over a 35-year period.
