This is a tutorial on how to make a pa'u skirt, the kind worn when dancing hula. The waistband has four elastic bands, and the length is 74cm (please adjust this to your desired length). This tutorial makes a skirt with a ruffled hem. A tutorial for a simpler version without a ruffle is available in a separate video. The difference is... first, the amount of fabric. The simple version only requires 3.5m of fabric, while the ruffled version requires 4m. Also, the number of steps increases; gathering the 4m of fabric and sewing it to the top of the pa'u skirt might be a little more challenging.
