Zechariah 12:8-10 | Asher Intrater

Today’s Global Broadcast teaching by Asher is taken from Zechariah 12:8-10. In the introduction Asher gives a little historical background to the prophetical text as well as the current religious/political/social situation in Israel and the nations. Then he reminds us that Hamas calls the current war the “ “Al Aksa Flood”, the flood on the Temple Mount. Their intention is clear. BUT: 1.⁠ ⁠God says He is going to PROTECT Jerusalem; that MILITARY bravery will come forth from Israel, just like David’s mighty men (vs 8). 2.⁠ ⁠God will SEEK to destroy the nations that come against Jerusalem to battle (vs 9). 3.⁠ ⁠God will POUR OUT the Spirit of grace and supplication—REVIVAL comes with WAR; it is a REFINING FIRE (vs 10). 4.⁠ ⁠Israel will look toward ME whom they have pierced—REVELATION of YESHUA as God, the ONE protecting Jerusalem, battling the nations and pouring out His Spirit (vs 10). The Jewish people will weep/mourn when they have a revelation that it is Yeshua who is their DELIVERER. Will believers in the nations be weeping as well when they see He is fighting on behalf of Israel?
