50 Wave Types
In this lesson, we introduce wave types and learn how to classify waves by asking whether they require a medium and how the particles of the medium move. We compare mechanical and electromagnetic waves, then explain transverse, longitudinal, and periodic waves using water ripples, strings, sound, and slinky examples.
