On the Day He Saved | 2 Samuel 22:1-16 1 On the day the LORD saved David from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul, David spoke to the LORD with this song: 2 “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. 3 He is the God of my rock, my shield, and the horn of my salvation; He is my high tower, my refuge, my deliverer. He has saved me from violence. 4 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I will be saved from my enemies. 5 The waves of death surrounded me, and the floods of wickedness made me terrified. 6 The cords of Sheol wrapped around me, and the snares of death came upon me. 7 In my distress I called upon the LORD, I called upon my God; He heard my voice from His holy temple, and my cry reached His ears. 8 Then the earth shook and trembled, and the foundations of the heavens were shaken and trembled.
