Making Steel in the U.S. Part 11: Turning Slabs into Coils and More
This video follows along as steel coils are produced and then loaded onto rail cars at the Cleveland Cliffs Middletown Works. You'll see how the steel slabs are rolled into coils. The coils are then sent to the green coil area where they're then loaded for the next stop in their journey. At the end you'll see some work in the nearby NS Reed Yard before finally watching our train of coils head out onto the main line to travel south.
