A growth record of Tao, an Asian elephant at Sapporo's Maruyama Zoo. Between June 24th and July 1st, 2024, the sand in the elephant enclosure was replaced, resulting in the temporary appearance of several sand dunes. The elephants spent their time climbing, playing, and relaxing on the sand dunes. Here are some of the scenes they were enjoying: Pearl (mother, 20 years old) and Tao (daughter, 10 months old), Shuting (mother, 33 years old) and Nyaing (daughter, 11 years old). The two mother-daughter pairs live in a group of four.
