rich, creamy and a little crunchy, enjoy a perfect bite with this hojicha creme brulee 🥛 for more info click below 🥛 hi everyone 💖 creme brulee can be such a decadent dessert so i wanted to cut the richness a little bit with the toasty flavour of hojicha (roasted green tea). the slight caramel-like undertones of the hojicha compliments the caramelized sugar topping to make this creme brulee not too sweet. ingredients (4 servings) 4 egg yolks 40g sugar (3 tbsp + 1 tsp) 250ml whipping cream (1 cup + 2 tsp) 50ml milk (3 tbsp + 1 tsp) 9g hojicha powder (1 ½ tbsp) directions 1. preheat oven to 320°F (160°C). 2. add sugar to egg yolks and mix until it becomes a pale yellow colour. 3. in a small pot add whipping cream, milk and hojicha powder. heat over medium heat until warm to touch (not boiling), stirring frequently. 4. add hojicha mixture to eggs a little at a time while mixing to ensure eggs don't cook. 5. strain mixture and pour into individual ramekins. 6. place ramekins in hot water bath and bake for 30-40 minutes, until center has a slight jiggle. 7. cool to room temperature then refrigerate for at least 2 hours. 8. add sugar to cover surface, brulee with a torch and enjoy! :~) macronutrients (per serving) calories: 246 carbs: 12.2g fat: 20.5g protein: 3.5g 🥛 instagram: @milk.atelier 🥛
