In mid-February 2026, a couple in their late 40s/early 50s returned to Hawaii for the first time in a year and a half! The trip was 7 nights and 9 days, with the first 4 nights on the Big Island and the last 3 nights on Oahu. Although we've been to Hawaii about 10 times, this was our first time in February (winter), and we were unsure what to pack. Especially since, right before our arrival, Hawaii had been experiencing strong winds and bad weather, even leading to a state of emergency. Locals had also reported it being cold, so we packed far too many long-sleeved shirts... In the end, it was mostly sunny when we were there, and we didn't need long sleeves except in the mornings and evenings! (It was good to have a thick jacket for the mornings and evenings, as it did get chilly.)
