How to Get Castings, Agent and Manager as an Actor?

If you're still new to the acting world, I recommend using these tools to find casting calls in your city or country: GOOGLE The most underrated tool in the world. Here you can find EVERYTHING!!! Simply type "Castings in ______ (enter your city)" and you'll surely find pages for advertising agencies, films, TV shows, or someone looking for actors or actresses for productions, filming, or plays. FACEBOOK GROUPS Many people aren't familiar with this method, and on Facebook, you can find private groups with tons of people, including models, actors, singers, and artists in general, who share information about projects and local auditions/castings. FRIENDS - ACQUAINTANCES - WORD OF MOUTH It never hurts to ask your friends or acquaintances in the acting industry if they know of any casting calls taking place where you live. BACKSTAGE A site with a mix of low-budget projects, student projects, and occasionally top-tier productions looking for actors or extras for their shoots. If you already have some experience, I recommend using the following tools, which we use in the entertainment industry: CASTING NETWORKS - LA CASTING In my opinion, the most important casting site, where more and more film and TV productions are being cast. They have several regions where you can search for projects, and if you want to seriously pursue acting, you'll find a wide variety of projects here. ACTORS ACCESS The gold standard, the site where all professional and aspiring actors can find all kinds of projects. From films and episodes of TV series to student projects and commercial projects. It's a place where you can apply for countless productions, and it all depends on your tenacity, how far you're willing to go in your career, how much patience you're willing to put into it, and how much rejection you're willing to tolerate. CASTING FRONTIER One of the newer sites, with less presence than LA Casting or Actors Access, but nonetheless gaining popularity among casting directors and projects, especially in commercials. AGENT The person destined to put you in the door to great opportunities. The person with contacts who will recommend you to casting directors for film, television, and/or commercial projects. There are two types of agents: Theatrical (film and TV) and Commercials. MANAGER The manager is the person in charge of SHAPING your career and their role is to care a little more about the projects you choose and work on. They charge between 10% and 20% of every dollar you make, so think carefully before signing with a manager. First, you need to have something to offer, a career they can manage. Others say it's ideal to have a manager at the beginning or end of your career; that depends on each individual and should be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. IMDB PRO: I forgot to include this tool in the video editing, but you should subscribe to IMDB Pro so you can see who the managers are for actors or actresses you admire or think have a similar look to yours. You can find their email address there and write directly to them or their assistants and send them your headshot, reel, and acting resume. You have nothing to lose!
