Blue-Cloud 2026 Ocean Observers Webinar Series by EuroGOOS. This series showcases the services and Virtual Labs developed within the Blue-Cloud 2026 project, demonstrating how they support marine research and innovation through integrated access to marine data, cloud-based analytical tools, and collaborative research environments. The Coastal Currents from Observations Virtual Lab in Blue-Cloud 2026 enables users to generate integrated ocean surface current maps by merging data from multiple sources. It uses direct and indirect current measurements, including High Frequency (HF) radar, drifter observations, and geostrophic currents derived from satellite altimetry. It features a presentation of the European High Frequency Radar framework by the Chair of the EuroGOOS High Frequency Radar Task Team, showcasing the role of the European HF Radar network in advancing coastal ocean observing and operational oceanography.
