Leader of Opposition Election Rules Back Under Parliamentary Scrutiny

Parliament is yet to register a third attempt to amend the Administration of Parliament Act to change the mode of elections of the Leader of Opposition. The move if effected could be the first controversial legislation of the 12th Parliament months after its establishment. The immediate last attempt was a private Member’s Bill introduced by Richard Lumu, the then Legislator for Mityana South which hit a dead end. UBC TV’s Daniel Mugoya Compiled the details.
