HOMELESS WITHIN HOME: FLOODS ON LAKE ALBERT DISPLACE FAMILIES
People living on and around lake shores have continued to suffer with displacement resulting from floods from early 2020. In the Buliisa district of Mid-Western Uganda, residents are crying foul without knowing what could be next on Lake Albert. Buliisa County Member of Parliament Stephen Mukitale wants a Nile basin protocol dialogue to allow Uganda release some water to desert stricken countries.
