The latest phase of the Royal Navy’s eight-month Indo-Pacific mission saw F-35B Lightning jets from HMS Prince of Wales drop Paveway IV bombs as the carrier begins her return journey to Europe. Now back in the Mediterranean, the lead ship of the UK Carrier Strike Group carries 24 fifth-generation fighter jets — the largest number ever deployed on a Royal Navy aircraft carrier.
