Suppertime Jam (2024 auction sample) 'The Gilroy Tapes' are a batch of unreleased recordings by Madonna and her first band the Breakfast Club. During his September 2024 Guernsey's auction, Madonna's ex-boyfriend and former bandmate Dan Gilroy (of The Breakfast Club) auctioned an assortment of early tapes and reels containing rare, unreleased Madonna demos and rehearsal recordings. Overall, the auction featured a combined seven tapes and reels (five cassettes and two reel-to-reel tapes) that included unreleased early music and recordings of her voice. Three of the cassettes featured unreleased, unheard acoustic solo songs written and performed entirely by Madonna; Two of the cassettes contained early Breakfast Club rehearsal sessions and conversations with Madonna; and two reel-to-reel tapes (one Maxell and one Shamrock) captured rare candid conversations and unreleased songs where she sang, played guitar, and played drums. Around 55 audio clips that averaged between 20 and 32 seconds were made available to the public and potential buyers from the source tapes along with notes and other information about individual songs from Dan Gilroy.
