A few weeks ago, I had the scariest diabetes experience that I've ever had in 20 years of living with type 1 diabetes and ended up going by ambulance to the hospital for low blood sugar. Luckily I'm ok! I hope that by sharing my story, I can raise awareness about the seriousness and unpredictability of T1D, but also show others living with diabetes that we are strong and can overcome moments like these.
