Learning balance on a bike: it’s really fun!

Episode 1 of our #Practical_Guide to #easy_cycling_lessons for #children: the balance bike. At BEMOOV, we recommend that young children start learning to ride on a pedal-less bike (balance bike, also known as a draisienne). This will help your child develop their sense of balance and discover the joy of riding on two wheels before learning to pedal. How? Sit your child on the saddle, adjusted to a medium height, so that their knees are slightly bent and their feet touch the ground. Let them push off with one foot and then the other to move forward, until they feel comfortable. You can now raise the saddle so that your child’s knees are only slightly bent with their feet on the ground. Your child will push off harder and harder with their feet and pick up speed. _____ Need specific advice? Want even more information?
