Many people find sweat unpleasant – yet without it, our bodies would quickly overheat. But why do some people break out in a sweat even with minimal exertion, while others hardly sweat at all? And why does underarm sweat smell different than sweat on the hands or feet? Dermatologist Dr. Maria-Lisa Repelnig from the LKH-University Hospital Graz has the answers to these and many other questions about sweating. In this episode of "Consultation at the University Hospital," she explains, for example, when heavy sweating is still normal and when it might indicate hyperhidrosis.
