Making a Boro-Inspired Patchwork Bag from Scraps, Found Textiles & Vintage Kimono
🛍️ ONLINE SHOP: https://www.bikudesigns.com/ 🎨 CREATIVE WORKSHOPS: https://www.bikudesigns.com/workshops... 🧵 TOKYO CRAFT TOUR & RETREAT: https://www.bikudesigns.com/tokyo-cra... This bag is made entirely from scraps: old clothing, vintage kimono fabric, and bits of found textiles I've been collecting for years. I used a simple bag template from Daiso as the starting point, and just let the patchwork grow from there. For me, this is what slow craft is really about. Every piece of fabric has a history, and sewing them together feels like a small act of preservation. Nothing wasted, nothing rushed. I hope it inspires you to look at your scrap pile a little differently. . 🧵 Fabrics: kimono scraps, vintage clothing, found textiles, indigo, handmade cyanotype 📍 Template bag from: Daiso Japan .
