Abstract acrylic painting is very fascinating, especially the squeegee technique, which was popularised by the German painter Gerhard Richter. For the background, I use three different acrylic colours to mix an "emerald green". I then use a smoothing trowel from the DIY store and apply two acrylic colours to the trowel and paint my canvas with them. The video shows how I paint an abstract acrylic painting using acrylic paint and the squeegee technique after Gerhard Richter. My canvas is 40 x 40 cm. Gerhard Richter is one of the greatest German artists for me. In contrast to his large paintings and large squeegee tools, my canvas and squeegee tool (smoothing trowel) are smaller.
