TYPES of ATOMIC RADIUS | COVALENT RADIUS | IONIC RADIUS | METALLIC RADIUS | VAN DER WAALS RADIUS |

In this video, I will explain the different types of atomic radii: COVALENT RADIUS: Between atoms bonded in covalent compounds. IONIC RADIUS: Specifically apply to ionic compounds where the cations and anions are held together by a strong force (F). METALLIC RADIUS: Between metal atoms, which are closely packed together in a crystal lattice structure. VAN DER WAALS RADIUS: specifically used for non-bonded atoms and non-bonded diatomic molecules which are held together by Vdw forces.
