I Tried Hydrogen Engine Cleaning on My 1993 V46 Pajero (Here's What Happened)

My 1993 Pajero has done close to half a million kilometres, so before my road trip to Fraser's Hill in Malaysia, I figured it was time to try something different. A company called Rebooz came all the way from Penang to do a hydrogen engine cleaning service on the car and I didn't know what to expect. The process uses an electrolyser to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, and the hydrogen goes through the air intake to clean out carbon deposits from the combustion chamber, pistons and all the way to the exhaust. No dismantling, no tampering with any nuts or bolts, just a hose into the air intake and 45 minutes of the engine running. By the end of it, the smoke from the exhaust had reduced significantly, the acceleration felt more responsive, and the gearbox was shifting smoother than it has in a while. Whether it's the placebo effect or the real thing, I'm going to Fraser's Hill tomorrow and I'll find out on the road.
