Woman has legs 'BLOWN OFF' in Monaco BOMB as suspect targeting Ukrainian oligarch ‘still at large’

A woman linked to a Ukrainian billionaire is fighting for her life in hospital after reportedly having both legs "blown off" in a bomb attack in Monaco. Vadim Ermolaev, 58, suffered multiple shrapnel wounds after a backpack containing nuts and bolts exploded at the entrance to his apartment block on Rue Révérend Père Louis Frolla, near the border with France, at around 9pm local time (8pm BST) on Monday. An unidentified woman, initially thought to be Ermolaev's wife, was injured in the blast, along with a 13-year-old child. Authorities in Monaco said she remains in a serious condition and that the child is the least seriously injured of the three victims. A manhunt is under way in France for the suspect, who is believed to have fled on foot towards Beausoleil. Police in Monaco have opened an attempted murder investigation but are not treating the incident as terrorism. CCTV footage shows a man dumping a backpack at the building entrance shortly before the explosion and walking around the area "several times while waiting for the victims", said Minister of State of Monaco Christophe Mirmand. A British resident who lives nearby told the Mirror: "We heard a big commotion outside, and then there was a procession of police cars heading off."
