Michał Adamski is an artist specializing in long-term documentary projects, combining a social reflection on contemporary times with an intensely personal, subjective perspective on the subjects of his photographs. In his works, such as the photo book "I Can't Get Through the Chaos," he not only captures emotions but also makes profound, traumatic observations revolving around themes of loss and memory. As co-founder of the Pix.House Foundation and a member of the Public Protest Archive collective, Adamski is also engaged in diagnosing political realities, as exemplified by the book "Two Tailed Dog," in which he exposes the manipulations and absurdities of Viktor Orbán's government in Hungary. He doesn't shy away from personal subjects, as exemplified by the book "I Can't Get Through the Chaos," published in 2015. In 2001, he graduated from the Agricultural University of Poznań and began working on the family farm. At the age of 30, he became interested in photography and began his transition away from farming. He participated in workshops with Napo Images and Sputnik Photos and studied photography at the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava. He received scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2017) and the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship (2015 and 2024). He co-founded the Pix.House Foundation and Gallery. He is a member of the Public Protest Archive collective. He is the author of the photography books "I Can't Get Through the Chaos" and "Two Tailed Dog" and "Dark in the Day, Dark in the Night."
