Yesterday, the President visited the scene of the disaster. Today, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport stated that he would review fundamental measures for residents of vulnerable households, such as those living in semi-basements. No one chooses to live in a damp and gloomy semi-basement. Unless the state protects the truly working class and improves their lives, tragedies will continue to occur. I am not saying that the government must immediately do something for the approximately 360,000 households nationwide living in semi-basement homes. However, last month the government announced a reduction in the Comprehensive Real Estate Tax under the pretext of measures to stabilize the livelihoods of the working class.
