Swedish Grace och NK:s inredningar

In the 1920s, Swedish design gained international recognition, and NK’s workshops in Nyköping received prestigious commissions for public buildings. One of the most notable was Stockholm Public Library, designed by Gunnar Asplund and inaugurated in 1928, with all furniture and lighting made by NK. The style combined modernism with classicism – Swedish Grace – and drew inspiration from antiquity and ancient Egypt. NK also produced interiors for hotels, offices, and nearly 300 Swedish cinemas between 1935 and 1940. 👉 At Sörmlands Museum, you can explore over 40 pieces of furniture, lamps, objects, and photographs from NK’s production – learn more about the exhibition here: https://sormlandsmuseum.se/utstallnin...
