Máxima reikt Appeltjes van Oranje uit
On Wednesday June 6th, Queen Máxima hosts an award ceremony of the 'Orange Foundation' (Oranje Fonds) at the Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. She and King Willem-Alexander are protectors of the foundation. The yearly award ceremony is for remarkable social initiatives in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The prizes, an 'Appeltje van Oranje' ('Little Orange') made out of bronze, sculptured by Princess Beatrix, are handed out by the Queen.
