Getting a dog for the first time is a big deal, starting with a large dog makes the deal even bigger. Starting off with a Large Dog is a Huge deal. The bigger the dog, the bigger the challenge. As a general rule, there are some exceptions to this. Pitbulls are a good example. The first thing you need to understand is YOU NEED TO RESEARCH DAILY you need to seek answers if you dont know them, you need to admit that you, myself and anyone else can really learn and research more about the breed than we know currently and that's gonna be huge to the development you offer to your K9 Companion. For Example: A 7 month old puppy without proper training can knock you over, Can attack and injure a human or other animal. You need to be prepared to spend a lot of time with your dog. You need to be willing to make sure the dog is well socialized and trained and is able to provide plenty of exercise and play time. The reason why Rottweilers get the bad name that they do is because the lack of training owners are willing to provide. Anyone can buy a dog, very few have the patience and willingness to take the time to train them. If you are not going to be the Alpha, your dog is going to be. The rottweilers Excel in confidence and dominance and if you're not the leader they look to, they will try and be the one you look to. Long story Short is that humans AND dogs will adapt to the enviroment its placed in.
