You will need 8 plugs for a 4.81 Engine. There are many options available for you to check the spark plug gap. 0:38 Here is a new NGK Spark Plug. Part number IZFR6H11. 0:54 You will need to remove the fasteners for the air intakes on both sides, of both air intakes. 1:10 Pop out the plastic air intakes on both sides. 1:41 Loosen the air duct that is attached to the mass airflow sensor with a flat head screwdriver. 1:57 Unplug the wiring to the mass airflow sensor by squeezing the tab. 2:44 Remove the air intake filters. 3:31 Remove the air filter bracket. There are two screws on top. 4:51 Pop up the locking clips for each coil pack. You can use the hole at the end of each coil pack to pull the coil pack out. 5:07 Pull out each coil packs wire harness. 6:13 Here is the first plug out. Clearly, it needed to be replaced. The spark gap is beyond specs. 7:02 I used a feeler gauge to gap the spark plugs at 0.044. 7:18 You will need a torque wrench for the spark plugs when installing them for final torque. 7:34 Torque to proper foot-pounds (Ft/Lbs) or Newton meter (Nm). You will need to look up the specs yourself. 8:06 Reinstall the coil packs for each cylinder. Make sure you put them back in the correct hole they came out of. 8:22 This clip on top of the coil pack is what locks in the wires to the coil pack. 8:38 Press the locking tab down to lock in harness into the coil pack after it is in the correct alignment. 8:54 Make sure the arrow is facing towards the front of the engine. 9:59 This setup is how I was able to pull out and put in the right rear spark plug. It's the hardest of the whole job. Magnets do wonders. 10:15 I used a ratchet wrench with a flex-head for the sidewall nut. This nut holds the bracket on. 10:47 The grease I used for the rubber grommets when reinstalling. 11:02 Add a little grease to the rubber grommets before reinstalling parts back together for decreased wear.
