On May 30 and 31, 2026, a canonical visitation of the parish took place at the Lviv Metropolitan Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was conducted by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Lviv, Mieczysław Mokrzycki, and the Chancellor of the Curia of the Lviv Archdiocese, Canon Władysław Grymski. The two-day pastoral visit was filled with meetings with various groups active in the parish – prayer groups, catechetical groups, the Living Rosary communities, pastors, youth, and children. The Metropolitan participated in a rehearsal of the band playing and singing during Sunday Mass with children, administered the sacrament of Confirmation to a group of the faithful, spoke with parishioners, met with priests serving in the parish, and also met with representatives of the "Dajmy Nadzieję" Foundation, which operates at the Metropolitan Basilica and runs a home hospice for terminally ill children, a nursery for school-age children, and the "Anielski Flower" workshops for people with intellectual disabilities. A canonical visitation is a pastoral visit to a parish that takes place every five years. It is an opportunity for the bishop to familiarize himself with the religious, spiritual, and administrative life of the parish community, and for priests and parishioners to share their thoughts, achievements, and challenges with the bishop.
