We begin by drilling three cores with a crown in a block of granite using a Golz SD300 core drill mounted on a custom-made stand. Next, we polish the cores using a custom-made system: a wood lathe chuck mounted on a three-phase motor salvaged from a junkyard 30 years ago. Then, we cut these cores to heights of 3, 6, and 9 cm using a Norton Jumbo1000 saw. Finally, we drill 42 mm holes for the candles, using a small 42 mm core, then a 25 mm core, and finally a 20 mm milling cutter. Next, the candle holders are polished, and a water-repellent polish is applied. All that remains is to make the candles with soy wax.
